Built at the end of the 15th century, beginning of the 16th century, on a base dating from the second half of the 13th century, Bonaguil raises its colossal architecture on three layers of rock. A major site in Aquitaine, Bonaguil is an absolute model of a fortified castle, built with artillery fire in mind. In summer, the site comes alive with medieval workshops and shows (music, theater).
In the immediate vicinity of the Château de Bonaguil, the landscape interpretation trail allows you to discover the heritage in a different way, through 7 panels over 2 km: types of wood specific to the area, old iron ore quarries, interesting viewpoints over the landscape, etc.
