A listed historic monument, this church was built at the same time as the bastide, around 1265. Its large dimensions, its two square towers linked by a crenellated walkway and its buttresses make it a real fortress. It served two purposes: a place of worship and a place of final refuge. It was surrounded by a deep ditch and a drawbridge had to be crossed to enter. The tower on the left has a spiral staircase lit by loopholes and the one on the right had a small prison at the top. The Way of the Cross is made of painted terracotta. The statue of the Virgin Mary above the entrance porch was carved out of a tree trunk.
