Dorothée et Pierre LEONARDY, Raconteurs de Pays

Dorothée et Pierre LEONARDY, Raconteurs de Pays

Dorothée and Pierre are of Belgian origin and studied Germanic languages in Louvain. They are interested in the history of their new homeland and, as linguists, they try to find the origin of place names.
The tour starts in front of the market hall (1879), then you will pass the town hall to the new church. While walking up towards the higher part of the village, they will explain the importance of the RN 21 for the village. When they arrive at the site of the old castle, you can admire the landscape and they explain what it was like 140 years ago. For them this is also the opportunity to talk about the economic activities in the region.
And then, of course, they will explain the history of the old castle, emphasizing the historical context over the centuries.
On the way down, they show the location of the old market hall, the old church building and some typical houses.
